For Travel

The shot you imagined, from the photo you took

You stood in front of the Colosseum, the Taj Mahal, that perfect beach. But so did a hundred other people. Peelaway removes the crowds and reveals the landmark you actually came to see — from a single photo, taken on any device.

From tourist-packed to postcard-perfect

Every common travel photo frustration — solved with a single upload.

Tourist & crowd removal

Remove strangers, tour groups, and crowds from landmark photos. The AI reconstructs the architecture, pavement, and scenery that was hidden behind them.

Construction & scaffolding removal

Historic sites under renovation? Remove scaffolding, barriers, and construction equipment to reveal the building as it's meant to be seen.

Signs, barriers & modern clutter

Temporary fencing, information boards, crowd barriers, and modern signage removed from historical sites. See the monument, not the infrastructure around it.

Vehicle & transport removal

Tour buses, parked cars, and delivery vehicles cluttering the scene. Remove them to show the destination — not the parking lot.

Interior landmark cleanup

Museum galleries, cathedral interiors, palace rooms. Remove visitors and their bags, tripods, and selfie sticks from architectural interior shots.

Phone photos to print-quality

Phone cameras capture incredible detail. Peelaway processes at the full native resolution — from a 12MP phone shot to a 50MP full-frame image.

One photo. No tripod. No patience required.

The traditional solution is multi-exposure stacking: mount a tripod, shoot dozens of frames over 10+ minutes, hope the crowds shift enough, then spend an hour in Photoshop merging the clear parts. It works beautifully. It's also completely impractical at most landmarks.

Peelaway works from a single photo taken on any device. The AI understands what the landmark looks like behind the crowd and reconstructs it — matching stone textures, pavement patterns, and architectural lines so the result looks like you had the place to yourself.

Works from a single photo

No tripod. No multi-exposure stacking. No waiting for the crowds to clear. One photo is all you need.

Scene-aware reconstruction

The AI understands stone, pavement, sky, and vegetation. Reconstructed areas match the scene's textures and patterns naturally.

Instruction-based editing

The AI sees the photo as a crowded version of a clean scene and works to reveal what's behind the crowds — not hallucinate a replacement.

Full resolution, any device

Phone cameras, compacts, mirrorless, full-frame — all processed at native resolution. The result is as sharp as the original.

Frequently asked questions

Can it remove a large crowd from a really busy landmark?
Yes, with a caveat. The AI works best when the landmark is partially visible behind the crowd — it reconstructs what it can see. In extremely dense crowds where the entire landmark is obscured, there's less information to work with, but results are often surprisingly good.
Will the reconstruction look natural or obviously edited?
Natural. The AI understands architectural materials — stone textures, pavement patterns, sky gradients. The reconstructed areas match the surrounding scene. The result looks like you visited on an empty day.
Can I keep my travel companion but remove everyone else?
The current web interface removes all detected people. The API supports more targeted prompting for selective removal. Selective person removal via the web UI is on the roadmap.
How does this compare to the multi-exposure tripod technique?
Multi-exposure stacking requires a tripod, multiple shots over minutes, and post-processing in Photoshop. It works but is impractical at busy landmarks. Peelaway produces comparable results from a single handheld shot in under 2 minutes.
Does it work for both interiors and exteriors?
Yes. Outdoor landmarks, museum galleries, cathedral naves, palace rooms — all handled. The AI reconstructs floors, walls, and ceilings as naturally as it handles sky and pavement.
